Strategic Collegiate is an annual STEM based college prep and mentoring nonprofit focused specifically on high school students who have significant interest in:

  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Public Health Education
  • Rehabilitation/Therapy
  • Allied Health Sciences
  • Assistive Technology/Accessibility 

 

Our Trip

Strategic Collegiate is hosting an all expense paid trip from the DMV to Boston for the Harvard Medical School Diversity STEM Conference:
 
Biomedical Sciences Careers Program (BSCP) 
 
 
New England Science Symposium (NESS)

We are also partnering with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) chapter for a private tour and a Biomedical Engineering workshop.

To diversify the experience we will have a private tour of the W.E.B. Dubois  Research Institute at Harvard College.

 

Our Goal

We are soliciting grant sponsorship, corporate and philanthropic underwriting for high school students who demonstrate promising futures in Biomedical/Health Science STEM majors.
 
To make our annual trip a success we seek funding in the amount of $15,000 to provide all inclusive accommodations for “The Talented 10” STEM Scholars & 5 Academic Mentor Advisors. Cost is $1,000 per person.

Budget Breakdown

– Round trip flight = $400
– Hotel Accommodation = $300
– Ground transportation = $100
– Food = $75
– Stipend = $100
– Sponsor Logo Polo & Tee shirt = $25
